Video of the Week: Rochelle Jordan’s Follow Me

“Follow Me’ is the kind of track that you’ll have replaying while on a late night drive. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Rochelle Jordan constantly releases songs that really jam out. Most of her songs have hard beats, and when coupled with her soothing vocals, you’ll find your neck snapping. Here is the visual of the track:

Inspiration Nation: WondaGurl, a 16-Year-Old Producer who Created “Crown” on Jay-Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail

Producer Ebony “WondaGurl” Oshunrinde is truly an inspiration to me. I’ll admit, I once dreamt of producing beats and DJing, but I was intimidated, so I scratched that career goal off my list since it seemed too technical to me. But, creating beats did not intimidate WondaGurl. At age 9, after seeing a clip of Timbaland and Jay-Z in the studio (I’ll assume it was Fade To Black), she was moved, and decided to chase her inspiration. Now, at 16 years old, her production can be heard on the “Crown” track on Jay-Z’s new album Magna Carta Holy Grail. Check out her story here:

Ear Treat: Krystale’s “Machine”

“I’m a machine, but you soften me up till I’m warm-hearted.”

Krystale’s latest single, “Machine” is one of those tracks that grabs the listener’s ear at the first few seconds. And since one listen to this addictive jazzy-soul track is not enough, you have to play it again and again; always hearing something new. The 21-year-old Montreal native is not new to the music scene though. She has two EPs under her belt (Reboot and The Good Fight) and a full-length album on the way. Based on the single, we look forward to it.

Esthero – Never Gonna Let You Go {Video}

This visual is an interesting take on Esthero’sNever Gonna Let You Go.” A heartbroken, drunken mother sulks in depression while neglecting the needs of her daughter. What she doesn’t know is that her daughter is in a twisted love affair of her own.

The Wait is Over! Rochelle Jordan’s LP P R E S S U R E Has Arrived {Stream + Download)

If you are still an R&B believer like us, then you must listen to Rochelle Jordan’s LP P R E S S U R E. I’m talking lush beats; courtesy of KLSH, coupled with her charming vocals makes this a let-my-tape-rock-till-my-tape-pop kind of album. It is also impressive that the Canadian vocalist, wrote each song on the LP, which explains why tracks such as “Losing” and “You Ain’t My Man” and “Too Long” had us giving her virtual high-fives along with a couple umm-hummm girls in between. Give P R E S S U R E a listen; tell us what you think, and if you like it, download it.

In the visual for “In This LifeReema Major mobs through her ‘hood in Vancouver, Canada schooling listeners on what’s important in her life, the music industry standards for women and historical facts (where piercings derived). Her M.O. is simple here: pay attention to the lyrics.
