Crush of the Week: Les Twins – Beyoncé’s Twin Backup Dancers

Lorin Okada

When I first saw these super adorable French fellas, Laurent (“Lil Beast”) and Larry (“Ca Blaze”) Bourgeois, on Beyoncé’s HBO documentary, Life Is But A Dream, I had to check out their work. Their routines consist of many dance styles such as breakdance, dancehall, mime, jazz and ballet. What’s incredible is that they have never received formal training; all of their techniques are self-taught.

When the identical twin brothers are not ripping up the dancefloors or stages worldwide, they teach choreography classes and model.

Photos of the Day: Athletes Mimics Classic Album Covers

In ESPN The Magazine’s “Music Issue,” there is a fun feature on athletes impersonating popular album covers. We could not help but chuckle at a few of the photos because they imitated the poses almost perfectly. Take a look at gold medalists, Allyson Felix (track and field) as Beyoncé’s “Dangerously in Love” and Alex Morgan (soccer)as Katy Perry’s “One of the Boys”:

Ladies in Music who Rocked The Met Gala 2012

You don’t dress to impress at The Costume Institute Gala, you dress in excess.  The Met Gala at Metropolitan Museum of Art (or as some call it, Oscars of the East Coast) is one of the most prestigious events in the fashion world that brings out the best and brightest in fashion, music, film and television. In celebration of the opening of the “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations” exhibition, many of our adored ladies in music killed it on the red carpet. Some of the looks ranged from dark and edgy to bright and bold. Here are our some of our favorite looks:
