Mini Album Review: Selah Sue by Selah Sue

Selah Sue is a worthy listen. Maybe I am easy to impress, or simply admire the tenacity of a petite, big blue-eyed girl from a small town in Belgium, determined for success on American soil. But, any lady that can hold her own on a track with Cee Lo Green is a Pearl Mic chick indeed (check out “Please”). Her special blend of Ragga, R&B, and Folk keeps the album interesting with party-starting tracks like “Crazy Sufferin’ Style” and “Peace of Mind”. Then she softens up and pulls the listener into emotional songs such as “Mommy”, “Fade Away” and “Break”.

If you are looking for an album that makes you dance, think and gets you a little misty-eyed, then this is the album to check out.
